2018 Morningside Cabernet – Six Pack
A fabulous winter lockdown wine to have with a lamb casserole or, for my vegetarian friends, a layered char-grilled vegetable lasagna with eggplant, tomato, zucchini and mushrooms. The Cabernet was the clear favourite with our patrons at this year’s Dark Mofo Winter Feast.
The 2018 Morningside Cabernet is one of the last two vintages made by founder Peter Bosworth and an expression of his wine-making style and terroir. Made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvinon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot and aged in French oak for 24 months this full-bodied wine will delight fans of Tasmanian cabernet.
Bright dark red cassis, sweet fruit with firm tannins, can be drunk now but will continue to improve for at least 10 years.
